Sonny Longtine, a lifelong resident of Marquette, holds bachelor's and master's degrees fro NMU, and has completed additional graduate work at EMU and MSU. He has published five books on the Upper Peninsula. Sonny retired from public education after 33 years as a counselor and history/government teacher.
