Nature Heals (guvhllárussan - an introduction to the tradition of sami folk medicine)

Regular price $23.00

The booklet is intended to be a brief introduction to the northernmost folk medicine tradition. The most important sources used in this production are collection work on plants and other traditions in Sami folk medicine, made by Just Qvigstad (1901, 1932) and Adolf Steen (1961). A useful source has also been Norwegian folk medicine (1996), written by physician Per Holck. From these sources, it can be concluded that some Sami army councils have arisen and been further developed in the Sami environment, while others are loans from other cultures and adapted to Sami users. The book is also available in Norwegian, title Nature plays ISBN 9788282630122.
